CBS transfers 'Boss' to Friday

CBS is countering ABC's decision to cancel "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition" by bringing returning unscripted series "Undercover Boss" to the Friday 8 p.m. time slot. After three airdates on Sunday at 8 p.m. beginning Jan. 15, before moving to Friday on Feb. 17. Two days later, the 20th cycle of "Amazing Race" will take over the post-"60 Minutes" time slot. "Boss" will bump rookie drama "A Gifted Man," which will shift to 9 p.m. and displace "CSI: NY" in that time slot until March 30 when it returns to the schedule and "Gifted" takes a rest.
